UzAuto Motors JSC is actively implementing a strategic program to expand its vehicle lineup and modernize existing models. Following the instructions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan given during his visit to the Khorezm Region in May of this year, the priority tasks include organizing the production of new models, modernizing, and expanding Khorezm Auto's production capacity.
The newly created facilities will produce a new version of the affordable Damas minivan, designed to meet the needs of small businesses and private customers. The new Damas is a compact, fuel-efficient, and spacious vehicle, ideal for both urban travel and commercial use. Distinguishing features include increased dimensions, increased payload capacity, and spaciousness, along with significantly improved driver and passenger comfort. The model will be available in the Damas Move passenger version and the Damas Max cargo-passenger version.
The new model will be produced simultaneously with the current Damas, giving customers the freedom to choose between a proven classic and new technological features.
Along with expanding its model range, UzAuto Motors has carried out a major upgrade of one of the most popular Chevrolet Cobalt models. In addition to the existing trim levels, two new versions—the Cobalt Style MCM and the Cobalt Midnight MCM—will be available to buyers. Each features an expanded range of options, modern technologies, improved comfort, and enhanced safety.
The new modifications were developed in response to surveys conducted among Cobalt owners in Uzbekistan, as well as Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and other export markets. Over 90% of respondents in Uzbekistan and abroad expressed a desire for expanded trim levels and the introduction of modern features from the factory. As a result, the car now features 12 new options previously unavailable to Cobalt buyers, significantly enhancing the model's ease of use and technological advancements. The engine has been upgraded, the ABS system has been improved, a new engine control unit and its systems have been installed, modern airbag and security control units, and a next-generation diagnostic module. Customers will have access to new options: a touchscreen multimedia system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, cruise control, eco-leather seats, heated front seats, a new dashboard and steering wheel with multimedia and cruise control controls, and new interior trim elements. In total, over 50 key vehicle components have been updated.
The next stage in the Cobalt's development will be a facelift, and UzAuto Motors specialists have already begun this work.
Production of the new Cobalt trims has begun alongside existing trims. Customers will now be able to choose from four different Cobalt trims, varying in equipment levels and functionality. Detailed pricing and sales launch dates will be announced later.
