The Uzbekistan women's national team continues its campaign at the 46th World Chess Olympiad, currently taking place in Samarkand.
Matches for the 8th round of the World Chess Olympiad were held on September 24. The Uzbekistan women's team faced the Netherlands and secured a decisive 3–1 victory.
In this round, one of the team's leaders—Grandmaster Gulrukhbegim Tokhirjonova—sat out the match to rest. It is worth noting that just the day before, in the 7th round, Gulrukhbegim defeated Slovenia's Zala Urh, contributing to Uzbekistan's overall 3.5–0.5 victory.
Three rounds remain in the Olympiad, and the Uzbekistan women's team continues to compete among the tournament's leaders.
