Official Announcement
Videos and photos have been circulated on several Telegram channels claiming that a 2025 Cobalt suffered a brake system failure. This allegedly caused a traffic accident in Nukus.
UzAuto Motors JSC states that this information is untrue. To date, the company has not received any complaints regarding brake system failures on vehicles of this model.
It should be noted that each vehicle undergoes multi-stage quality control, including thorough inspection of the brake system at all stages of production.
Specifically, during assembly, a vacuum is created in the brake system, brake fluid is automatically and sufficiently filled (in Error Proof mode), and a static check of the anti-lock braking system (ABS) module and electrical connections is performed. During the final stage—the DVT (Dynamic Vehicle Test)—the vehicle is driven on a rotating rig, where the braking system undergoes dynamic testing under conditions as close as possible to real-world driving conditions.
UzAuto Motors JSC closely monitors such publications and urges users not to disseminate unverified information to avoid misleading the public.
The final assessment of the circumstances of the road accident and its possible causes will be made by the Road Safety Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
